Latest news from AAA CEO Meagan Shand

Hi, this is Megan Shand, CEO of Arts
Access Australia. I’m here on my first official visit to Canberra with AAA.
I’m here for meetings and some visits to some of the galleries. I’m here on the
way back from Sydney where we held our first AGM at the Museum of Contemporary
Arts, and what a lovely location that was. Thank you very much to the museum for
hosting the AGM. We had a beautiful view across the harbour with the Sydney
Harbour Bridge to our left and with the Opera House opposite us. It
was a beautiful day in Sydney, with beautiful blue skies and it was a
fantastic AGM, so thank you to all who attended. At the AGM we presented the
annual report, which you can go online and find there now, and
we also elected our new board members for 2018. This year we also had a very
special honorarium to our life member, Ms Jenine Mackay. Jenine is a valued
previous board member and leader in the arts and disability sector. Jenine was
on the AAA Board from 2008 to 2013, contributing eight years of amazing work
and leadership. Thank You, Jenine. Thank you for your contribution. Look out for a
post with more information about Jenine’s contribution to AAA, and
look out for my next vlog.
